Roomies

Nesting has begun, and it all started last week when the boys started sharing a room- combining closets, drawers, and toys. I've been organizing closets and cleaning spaces out like a mad woman. {And what do you do with old tshirts that your husband bought in college at Goodwill? Make capes! They're a hit!} Now for the fun part- working on the nursery this weekend. I'm so happy that I painted Jameson's room the soft blue-gray color that was in the nursery...because we're about to say good-bye!

Campbell is still in a crib, and I plan to keep it that way for as long as he doesn't try to climb out!

I found this oar for super cheap at Michaels and thought it was fun. Jameson and I painted it red!

Fun artwork to display!

I'm soaking in every moment with the boys during these last months before baby. They're developing a sweet friendship and I'm so grateful that I'm able to stay at home with them and see it all.

Summer Preview?

I know it's April 30th but I couldn't wait another day- baby pool is officially out!

Yesterday after church we took the boys to their first Braves game. We thought an April game would be perfect, but instead we were slathered in sun block and pretty sweaty! Welcome to Atlanta!

Lots of tomahawk choppin'

Crazy enough, we made it all 9 innings. I was just a little bit determined since we were skipping naptime. This is my favorite shot of the afternoon :)

Food Etc.

Of course we drank an abundant amount of tea....

and had Fish-n-Chips with English peas a few times!

And more tea (I got hot chocolate this time) in the afternoon.

Lovely tulips everywhere

Toffee ice cream with a flake- how simple to make a pregnant woman happy!

ah hem...more tea. Oh, and warm hearty porridge in the mornings.

Dinner one night in a pub with these nasty creatures...although the ties were a nice touch.

There was no shortage of pubs, and all with charming signage

and not to forget butcher shops

I am so thankful that we went on this trip, especially before baby #3 arrives. And although we were on the move quite a bit, I had plenty of down time. Life is about to change forever again, and it was a blessing to look out of this window, several miles away from everything familar, to reflect, enjoy, savor, and remember.

People

The Who-What-When-Where-Why-How.....!

Russell's sister Mallory had been in London since January with a group from Mississippi College. She traveled all over during her four months in the UK. Russell's Mom, Russell and I decided to join her once her coursework was finished. {Mallory and Melanie stayed another full week after we left! Can't wait to see their pictures.}

Melanie planned our itinerary and made most reservations. I literally showed up at the airport, with nerves of course about a long flight at 30 weeks pregnant, and was along for the journey once we got there. Stairs were not my friend, but the British gents were always offering their seats to me on trains and the like. I was comfortable and content, and could not have imagined being more catered to.

Little Miss on an adventure!

I found time to write while there~

Tulips were on every table I looked it seemed- restaurants, hotels, shops, you name it.

Quaint shops

Cobblestone

(for Cameron)

And how did I get to go?

My sweet parents took the boys to Disney World! Gee, did they have fun without me?

Places

Are you ready for picture overload? Our trip to England included many places, and sadly there is no way to capture all of it. I'll do my best in 3 posts- Places, People, and Food Etc.

Here is London.....I enjoyed its history, its charm, and its diversity. Les Mis at the Queen's Theatre was {cramped} and oh so wonderful.

One unexpected delight was walking through St. James Park.

After two days in London, the real adventure began! Salisbury....

Stonehenge

Then, my favorite town we visited, Bath.

Speaking of adventure, Russell bravely drove us all around for the remainder of the trip.

I, GPS, and trusty map were his guide!

Next was the Cotswolds, the English countryside. This is Wren House- sheep outside my window, a roaring fire, and a fluffy bed. It was painfully perfect.

In a day and a half, we visited about 12 towns.

Ready Literature lovers? Here is Oxford...

And those were the places...ready for some faces?
